AISHA ABIOTO

Aisha was born in Memphis, Tennessee. She has been doing art since a very young age, when she would fill dozens of journals with elaborate bird drawings and accompanying stories.

Aisha, mainly a digital artist, began her artistic journey using traditional materials including copic markers, gouache, and watercolors. Her transition into digital art was initiated by her need to find a more accessible mode of expression. Her poor eyesight was making it difficult to create exactly what she wanted using traditional materials.

Her move to digital art was also influenced by Manga, Anime, and Disney. Aisha’s art touches on multiple themes including fantasy, fanart, and Goddesses, and she is particularly interested in how body movements convey stories.

She sees her artwork as a way to connect with others and build community, and strives to create work that others can relate to.
